N110 Super Abrasion Furnace Black; SAF OTHER NAME PHYSICAL AND The particle size of carbon black N110 is the CHEMICAL PROPERTIES smallest among those of the rubber carbon blacks. Carbon black N110 has standard structure. Its iodine adsorption value is 145g/kg, 3and DBP adsorption is 113cm/100g. APPLICATION Carbon black N110 is used in the tread compound of truck tire and passenger tire. It is also used in rubber articles with high strength and high abrasion resistance such as high strength conveyor belt and industrial rubber articles etc. USAGE AND FUNCTION Carbon black N110 is has the smallest particle diameter, highest reinforcement and abrasion resistance. When mixing, it shall be well dispersed to avoid coking due to over-high temperature. It can be used with anti-coking agent or other carbon black if necessary. 2. N115 OTHER NAME Super Abrasion Furnace Black; SAF Carbon black N115 has similar physical and PHYSICAL AND chemical properties as carbon black N110. Its CHEMICAL PROPERTIES iodine adsorption value is 160g/kg, and DBP 3adsorption is 113cm/100g. APPLICATION Carbon black N110 is used in the tread compound of truck tire and passenger tire. It is also used in rubber articles with high strength and high abrasion resistance such as high strength conveyor belt and industrial rubber articles etc. USAGE AND FUNCTION Same as carbon black N110. 3. N121 OTHER NAME Super Abrasion Furnace Black-high Structure (New Technology); SAF-HS(New Technology) Carbon black N121 is super abrasion furnace PHYSICAL AND black-high structure, made in new technology. It CHEMICAL PROPERTIES has small particle size and high structure. Its iodine adsorption value is 121g/kg, and DBP 3adsorption is cm/100g. APPLICATION Carbon black N121 is used in the tire tread compound, especially high-speed car tire tread. USAGE AND FUNCTION Carbon black N121 has moderate reinforcement and similar dispersion as carbon black N220 while its abrasion resistance is better than N220 filled compound. In the carbon black N110 series, carbon black N121 has the best processing performance. 4. N220 OTHER NAME Intermediate Super Abrasion Furnace Black; ISAF Carbon black N220 with high re-enforcement PHYSICAL AND property is a widely used furnace black. It has CHEMICAL PROPERTIES high structure, and its abrasion is between those of super abrasion furnace black and high abrasion furnace black. Its iodine adsorption value is 121g/kg, and DBP adsorption is 3114cm/100g. APPLICATION Carbon black N220 is used in tread compounds of truck tire, passenger tire and high strength high abrasion rubber products, such as high strength conveyor belt and industrial rubber articles etc. USAGE AND FUNCTION Carbon black N220 can be used in various rubber compounds. Compared to the compounds filled with carbon black N330, those with N220 has higher abrasion of 10%~20%, higher tensile strength and higher crack resistance, higher heat-up and hardness. The compound filled with N220 is conductive. 5. N234 OTHER NAME Intermediate Super Abrasion Furnace Black-high structure(New technology);ISAF-HS(New technology) Carbon black N234, compared to other grades of PHYSICAL AND N220 series, has higher structure, higher CHEMICAL PROPERTIES abrasion. Its iodine adsorption value is 120g/kg, 3and DBP adsorption is 125cm/100g. APPLICATION Carbon black N234 is used in the tread compounds of high speed tire and high performance rubber products. USAGE AND FUNCTION The compound filled with N234 has better abrasion than those with N220, N242 and N339. Its abrasion is about 10% higher than those of compounds with N220. Especially in the rigorous conditions, it shows very good abrasion performance. The process performance of the N234 compounds is good too. The surface is smooth, suitable for various compounds. The deficiency of the N234 compounds is its high heat-up and high hysteresis loss. 6. N326 OTHER NAME High Abrasion Furnace Black-low Structure; HAF-LS Carbon black N326 has iodine adsorption value PHYSICAL AND 382g/kg, and DBP adsorption 72cm/100g. The CHEMICAL PROPERTIES N326 compound has high re-inforcement and low heat-up. APPLICATION Carbon black N326 is used in the tread compounds with high strength and low heat-up. It is also used in the conveyor belt, seals and other high performance compounds. USAGE AND FUNCTION Carbon black N326 in the natural rubber compounds has similar physical-mechanical performance as channel black while the vulcanization rate is kept same. The compound filled with N326 has high tensile strength, crack resistance and abrasion. Compared to the compounds with other high abrasion furnace blacks, the N326 compound has lower tensile stress, lower elongation and similar tensile strength at break. The deficiency of the N326 compounds is lower tensile strength, abrasion and fatigue resistance. 7. N330 OTHER NAME High Abrasion Furnace Black;HAF Carbon black N330 is the most widely used high PHYSICAL AND abrasion furnace black. Its iodine adsorption CHEMICAL PROPERTIES value is 82 g/kg, and DBP adsorption is 3102cm/100g. The abrasion of the N330 compounds is lower than ISAF compounds but better than those of channel black-compounds. APPLICATION Carbon black N330 is used in the tread compound, cord fabric compound, inner tire and industrial compounds. USAGE AND FUNCTION Carbon black N330 has good re-inforcement, resulting in good tensile properties, crack resistance, abrasion and elasticity. The hysteresis loss of the passenger tire filled with N330 is lower than the compounds with other N300 series except N351. The N330 has good dispersion and extrusion properties too, suitable for various synthetic rubbers and natural rubbers. 8. N339 OTHER NAME High Abrasion Furnace Black-high Structure (New technology);HAF-HS(New technology) Its iodine adsorption value is 90 g/kg, and DBP PHYSICAL AND 3adsorption is 120cm/100g. Compared to N330, CHEMICAL PROPERTIES N339 has higher structure, smaller particles. The N339 compound has better abrasion and crack resistance than those of high abrasion furnace black –high structure (old technology) such as N347. APPLICATION N339 is used in the tread compounds of passenger tire and truck tire, coating compounds of conveyor belt, hose and industrial compounds with high abrasion properties. USAGE AND FUNCTION The tread compound filled with N339 has similar re-inforcement, abrasion and crack resistance properties as those of N220 compounds, and has good extrusion property, very suitable for butyl benzene rubber/ butyl rubber compound. The N339 compound has the highest rolling resistance among all the compounds with N330 series. 9. N375 OTHER NAME High abrasion furnace black-high structure (New technology);HAF-HS(New technology) Carbon black N375 is another grade of high PHYSICAL AND abrasion furnace black with high structure (new CHEMICAL PROPERTIES technology). Its structure is a little lower than N339, and its properties are similar as N339. Its iodine adsorption value is 90 g/kg, and DBP 3adsorption is 114cm/100g. APPLICATION The application of carbon black N375 is similar as N339, mainly used in the tread compounds of passenger tire, truck tire and cross-country tire. It is also used in coating compounds of conveyor belt. USAGE AND FUNCTION The usage and function of carbon black N375 is similar as carbon black N339 although the structure and heat-up is a little lower than N339. 10. N539 OTHER NAME Fast Extrusion Furnace Black –low Structure ; FEF-LS Its iodine adsorption value is 43 g/kg, and PHYSICAL AND 3DBP adsorption is 111cm/100g.Carbon black CHEMICAL PROPERTIES N539 is derived from carbon black N550. Its structure is lower than N550. Carbon black N539 with intermediate re-inforcement property is a general-purpose furnace black. APPLICATION Carbon black N539 is used in carcass compound, especially suitable for buffering layer compound with natural rubber base. It is also used in the matrix compound of tire, coating compound of belt and other rubber products as well as wire and cable compounds. USAGE AND FUNCTION The compound filled with N539 has smooth extrusion surface, small swelling rate, high tensile strength and high elongation. The N539 compound has lower tensile stress than N550 compound. The N539 compound has good elasticity and fatigue resistance properties. 11. N550 OTHER NAME Fast Extrusion Furnace Black; FEF Its iodine adsorption value is 43 g/kg, and DBP PHYSICAL AND 3adsorption is 121cm/100g. Carbon black N550 CHEMICAL PROPERTIES has smooth particle surface and high structure, resulting in best reinforcement properties among soft carbon blacks. APPLICATION Carbon black N550 is used in fabric cord, tire side compound, extrusion and rolling compounds. USAGE AND FUNCTION Carbon black N550 is suitable for natural rubber and synthetic rubbers. N550 is easy to disperse, resulting in high enduring property, high extrusion rate, smooth surface, small expansion, high temperature resistance and high heat- conductive, high re-inforcement, high elasticity and rebounding properties. Carbon black N550 is mainly used in fabric cord of tire, tire side, extrusion and rolling compounds. Carbon black N550 is preferred to use with N660 when used in butyl rubber compounds. 12. N660 OTHER NAME General Purpose Furnace Black ; GPF Its iodine adsorption value is 36 g/kg, and PHYSICAL AND 3DBP adsorption is 90cm/100g. CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Carbon black N660 has high tensile stress, good processing performance, high rebounding performance and high flexibility. It is widely used in various fields. APPLICATION Carbon black N660 is used in fabric cord of tire, inner tire, bicycle tire, hose, belt, cable, shoes, extrusion compounds and rolling compounds. USAGE AND FUNCTION Carbon black N660 is suitable for various vulcanizates. Compared to semi-reinforcement blacks, carbon black N660 has higher structure, smaller particle size, easy to disperse, higher tensile stress and strain at break, lower heat-up, good elasticity and fatigue properties. The deficiency carbon black N660 is the low elongation. 13. NATURAL GAS SEMI-REINFORCING FURNACE CARBON BLACk OTHER NAME Semi-reinforcing Furnace; SRF Natural gas semi-reinforcing furnace carbon PHYSICAL AND black has the largest particle size and lowest CHEMICAL PROPERTIES structure among rubber carbon black. Its iodine adsorption value is 14 g/kg, and DBP adsorption 3is 47cm/100g. APPLICATION Natural gas semi-reinforcing furnace carbon black is suitable for natural rubber and synthetic rubbers, mainly used in compounds of buffering layer and tire cord, hose, belt, extrusion products, industrial rubber products, wire and cable etc. USAGE AND FUNCTION Natural gas semi-reinforcing furnace carbon black can be used as filler with high load. Its compound has high elongation, low heat-up, high elasticity and good aging-resistance.
