DESCRIPTION
The WinDNC application allows communication between a PC and the following FAGOR CNC families:
, 8010/8020/8025/8030/800
, 8050/8055
through the RS-232, TCP/IP or Modem, as well as
working with a Card A in local mode.
The main window has 4 clearly defined areas :
1. Communication status: The top horizontal bar of
the application shows an indicator LED for each
device that is connected. That LED will turn on
when communication has been established with the
corresponding device.
2. Option bar: The vertical bar shows the options that
may be selected at the time. The options displayed
change depending on the selected type of device
and the task the operator is carrying out. By default,
it displays the main options of the application.
3. Work area: It is the area showing the windows that
let the user carry out the different tasks.
4. Status bar: The horizontal bar at the bottom of the
application shows information about the device
selected by the user as active. This information
consists in:
1. Device name.
2. Work directory assigned to the device.
3. Information that depends on the means of
communication assigned to the device
1. RS-232 : Baudrate configured for the
port assigned to the device.
2. TCP/IP : Address assigned to the
device.
4. CNC model the device corresponds to.
5. Root directory containing the folders that may
be accessed from the CNC (*).
If the port associated with the selected device has been properly initialized, that information will appear against a
white background. Otherwise, the information will appear against a red background.
(*) Only for 8050/8055 family CNC's
OPTIONS
The main options of the WinDNC application are:
1.Options : General setup of the application.
2.Setup : Setup of the devices.
3.Files : Operations with files (send, receive, edit,
delete, etc.).
4.Infinite : Execution of infinite program.

, Language : To select the oplrating language of the
application.
, Send files: To select how to send files to the CNC
o File load : If the file already exists at the CNC,
it is rejected.
o File Load + Delete: If the file sent already
exists at the CNC, it overwrites it.
OPTION 2 : SETUP
The setup window lets the user define the devices to use. At first, it
only shows the local device that correspondis to the user's own PC and lets work with local files without being connected to any CNC. Only the minimum options will be available.
, Modify: To modify the attributes of the selected
device.(1)
, New :To create a new device.
To create a new device, select the option New which will create the
device and will show the Attributes window of the device. Once the
new device has been defined, it will show the new options.
, Select : Defines the device selected as active for the
user.(2)
, Connect : Connects the port associated with the
device that could be used to carry out background tasks
initialized at the CNC, to the one that is connected.(1)
, Call : Opens a window to connect through the modem
associated with the device.(3)
, Wait call: Launches a window to wait for the CNC to
establish connection through the modem associated with
the device.(3)
, Duplicate : Creates a new device taking as a
reference the data of the currently selected device.
, Remove : Removes the device from the list.(1)
To create a connection between the PC and the CNC associated with the device, select Connect (or Call / Wait Call if the device is not
assigned to a modem). Once the connection has been created, it will show the options.

and at the CNC at the screen in two horizontal windows
one on top of the other.
o PC : It only shows the PC files.
o CNC : It only shows the CNC files.
, Display/Hide Comment: Displaying PC files requires
opening each file and reading its comment. If the Nr. of
files of a given type is too large, this process could take
some time. Therefore, the following options allow
enabling/disabling the display of comments.
, Adjust Columns : Adjusts the size of the columns of the
file listings so all the columns are visible.
The rest of the operations are carried out with the following buttons:
Selects all the files of the active list.
Cancels the selection of all files on the active list
Sends the files selected from the PC file listing to the CNC. The button appears disabled when
, no files are selected at the PC file listing,
, or the user is currently working with the CNC list.
Sends the files selected from the CNC file listing to the PC. The button appears disabled when
, no files are selected at the CNC file listing,
, or the user is currently working with the PC listing.
Opens the window for editing the file selected from the active list. The button appears enabled only if a file has been selected and the file is
, a program,
, a parameter table of an 8050/8055 CNC,
, or a remote-keyboard file.
See Editor y Keyboard editor .
