Then there’s the fact that his human owner, Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer) is totally 2)obsessed with trying to figure out how and when to ask his girlfriend Liz Wilson (Jennifer Love Hewitt) to marry him. Just when he’s about to 3)pop the question, Liz gets an invite to speak at an animal conference outside London. Realizing he can’t miss his opportunity, Jon flies to London, unaware that Garfield and Odie have 4)stowed away in his luggage. Not far away, Prince the cat (voiced by Tim Curry) truly is king of his castle as he’s just 5)inherited his owner’s entire 6)estate. This is much to the disappointment of the owner’s greedy nephew Dargis (Bill Connolly), who wants to turn the place into a 7)resort. Keeping his actions secret from Prince’s faithful human servant Smithee (Ian Abercrombie), Dargis bags Prince, drops him in the nearby river and 8)goes about with his plans. As everyone is trying to find Prince, Smithee happens to see Garfield in London. He mistakes Garfield for Prince, and returns him to the castle. At first, Garfield thinks the worst, but when he realizes the royal treatment he’s receiving ?including all the food he could want ?he changes his mind and quickly 9)adapts to the 10)posh lifestyle. Similarly mistaking Garfield for Prince, Dargis then 11)sets out to do what he can to get rid of the cat. At the same time, Jon has found Prince and mistaken him for Garfield, all while still trying to find the right time to ask Liz to marry him. From that point on, the two cats must deal with their new surroundings. At last, they realize they need to get back to their own homes. Preview After earning $75 million on its $50 million 12)budget, it was 13)a foregone conclusion that we can find a sequel to Garfield. Yes, the 14)lasagna-loving cat will be returning to the big screen, and he’ll probably bring along plenty of friends. In the first film, Bill Murray provided the voice of Garfield, whose performance lit up the screen as the fat little cat was created by computer. In that film, Garfield’s owner gets a second pet ?a dog named Odie. Naturally, Garfield hates the little guy. But when Odie was 15)dognapped, Garfield jumps to help his former enemy.
