afiniteelementmodelvalidfornumericallydescribingofsuch
operationshasbeendeveloped.Thenumericalsimulationof
thedamageevolutionandcrackinitiationandpropagation
havebeendescribedbymeansofcontinuumdamageapproach.
Inthispaper,twomodelsfordamageaccumulationhasbeen
implementedinthefiniteelementcodeABAQUSbymeansof
theuserroutine(UMAT).TheLeMaitredamagemodeltaking
intoaccounttheinfluenceoftriaxialityhasbeenimplemented
aswellasdamagemodelaccumulation,basedontheRiceand
Traceyductilefracturecriterionallowingforthedescriptionof
theexponentialdependenceontriaxialitystressfield.The
comparativestudybetweentheresultsobtainedbythe
simulationsusingthedifferentdamagemodelsandthe
experimentalones,showedthattheLeMaitredamagemodel
(LMDmode1)isnotabletopredictthefracturepropagation
pathinarealisticway.Onlytheexponentialdamageevolution
givesgoodresults.

becauseofindentationofrolleredgeonthemateria1.Inorder
toovercomethisdefect,”Planetaryballrolling”.inwhich
rollersinPCRtoolswerereplacedwithbalIs.isproposed.
PerformanceofPBRwascomparedwithPCRbytheuseof
aluminumalloytubes.Asaresult.roughnessofinnersurface
ofthetubewasextremelyimprovedbyPBR.Influenceofball
diameteronforminglimitandsurfacefinishingwas
investigated.Itwasfoundthatforminglimitwasassumedwith
maximumcontactangleand1argebal1diameterwas
advantageous.Additionally,largeballwasalsoeffectiveto
reducesurfaceroughnessofboththeinnerandoutersidesof
tube.Thiswasduetoenlargementofdeformationzone,which
causedsumcientdefolinationonoutertubesurfaceand
reducedpillingupontheinnertubesurface.Obtainedtubehad
goodqualityandsimultaneousfinishingofinnerandouter
surfacesofatubebyPBRwasdemonstrated.

duringpunch—stretchingunderdifferentstatesofstrainhas
beenstudied.Fromtheexperimentalresults,ithasbeenfound
thatfourofthefivesheetshaveafavorablegrainsizeand
mechanicalpropertiestomeettherequirementsofgood
formability.Thesuitabilityofthesesheetsforcritical
deep—drawingapplicationshasbeenexaminedintermsofthe
levelandrangeofcriticalstrainsintheFLD.Theseresults
correlatedwellwithformabilityparameters.Earingtendency
duringdrawingisexpectedtobehighforonesheetduetoits
