新标准英语第八册 Module 7 Unit 1 It’s very hot. 教学设计 ---周水子小学 池丽娜 一、教材分析 本课是外研社版小学新标准英语一起第八册Module 7 Unit 1 It’s vey hot.它是新标准英语教材唯一一个介绍太空知识的模块。 本课是以Amy、Lingling、Daming、Sam和Ms Smart 谈论太空为话题，通过运用形容词对太空进行描述。在教学过程中，利用本课的语言材料充分开展听说读用训练，从而帮助学生在复习形容词的同时，丰富语言的表达，完成描述太空的任务。 二、学生知识和心理分析 形容词的应用是本课的重点，对于形容词，四年级的学生有一定的语言基础，各个年级的教材都有涉及形容词的语篇，特别是本册书的第二模块也有对形容词的语用，所以对于学生来说难度不大。关于太空的相关知识虽说抽象但孩子多少了解一些，而且有很浓厚的学习兴趣，教师针对学生的这一心理，运用有效的教学手段，触及学生的最近发展区，激发学生的学习兴趣，从而能够更好的培养学生的综合语言运用能力。 三、教学目标 （一） 语言知识目标 词汇：学生能够掌握单词space, sun, planet, ring， 词组near to, far from的听说读用 语句：学生能够听说读用This planet is near to the sun. It’s very hot. This planet is far from the sun. It’s very cold. 语法：形容词的使用。 话题：谈论太空 （二） 语言技能目标 听：1）能够在视频和图片的帮助下听懂课文内容 2）能在课堂上听懂老师的常用指令并作出反应 说： 能在图片、视频等提示下利用This planet is near to the sun. It’s very hot. This planet is far from the sun. It’s very cold…等句型描述出太空。 读： 1）能够认读单词space, sun, planet, ring，词组near to, far from 2）能认读本课主要句式This planet is near to the sun. It’s very hot. This planet is far from the sun. It’s very cold. 3）能在学习课文后，语调优美的朗读课文。 （三）情感与态度目标 学生喜欢了解太空的相关知识，学生能在民主的课堂学习氛围中逐渐养成乐于探究、善于合作的良好品质。 （四）学习策略 本课在教学策略上采用情景教学法，通过视频、图片等为学生创造真实的情景，鼓励学生采取自主学习策略和小组合作学习策略进行英语交流，让学生有效地跟随真实的语言情境一步一步地完成各个环节的教学任务。 四、教学重难点 （一）教学重点 单词space, sun, planet, ring，词组near to, far from的听说读用 目标语句：This planet is near to the sun. It’s very hot. This planet is far from the sun. It’s very cold.的听说读用。 （二）教学难点 能够运用形容词熟练的描述太空。 五、教学准备 教学用书、卡片、录音机、CAI。 六、教学过程 Ⅰ.Warmer游戏导入 激发兴趣 【操作方式】 开课教师亲切和学生问候，然后老师和学生来玩反义词的游戏。 1. Greeting亲切问候 营造氛围 2. Game 激发兴趣 明确目标 Let’s play a game, Ok?  long-short small-big fat-thin cheap-expensive hot-cold 【设计意图】 通过反义词的游戏，复习形容词，唤醒学生旧知，引导学生在短时间内投入课堂教学活动，为投入本课的学习做好准备。 Ⅱ. Presentation任务呈现 学习新知 1. Lead in导入 Talk about the space. 【操作方式】 教师通过游戏复习形容词，利用hot, cold 来引出太阳，并描述太阳，通过提问太阳在哪引出本课的话题太空，让学生观看太空的视频回答问题，启发学生关于太空的思考，激发学习兴趣。 T shows a picture of the sun. T: Is it cold? What’s this? Can you talk about the sun？ S: No, it’s hot.  It’s the sun. It’s very big, and it’s round. T: Where is the sun？ S: It’s in space. T: face, race ,place, space. T: There are many planets，stars and satellites in space, too. T: How many planets in space? Let’s watch a video about space. S: There are eight. T: There were nine planets in space before. There are eight planets in space now. Because the Pluto(冥王星) is too small, so it has been deleted. T：Is it interesting? The space is very interesting, let’s learn the space in English ,OK？ 【设计意图】 通过视频播放、图片提示、问题引导，提出本课的学习任务，激发学生了解太空知识的兴趣。 2.Text learning课文学习 （1）Watch and answer 【操作方式】 播放视频，学生带着问题整体感知课文，加强对课文内容的理解。 T: Our friends are talking about space with Ms Smart. How many planets are they talking about? （2）Listen, and repeat. Pay attention to the pronunciation. 【操作方式】听音模仿课文，培养朗读习惯，注重训练学生的语音语调。 （3）Talk about the three planets. 【操作方式】 通过图片分别展示3个具有特点的行星，并通过机械操练，语境中操练等多种形式练习重点语句。让学生自主体验，并学会运用词组near to , far from描述中国地图。 T points to the planet near to the sun. T: Is it hot? Why? S: Yes, it’s near to the sun. T: This planet is near to the sun.  It’s very hot. ( Say the sentences with body language) T: I have got 3 planets. Which one is hot?  Where is it ? S helps the teacher find the right planets and stick it on the blackboard. T: Is this planet hot? Where is it？ S: This planet is far from the sun. It’s very cold. ( Say the sentences with body language) T: How about this one? Is it beautiful? S: This planet is beautiful , it’s got 3 beautiful rings. T: I have got a ring.  Have you got a ring? 【设计意图】 在处理课文语篇时，教师通过问题，引发学生思考，理解课文语境。通过图片呈现，用手势操练，实物图片等多种形式对课文的重点目标语句进行理解和操练，使学生能够理解并能正确表达三颗行星的位置及特点。 Ⅲ. Practice巩固操练 应用新知 1.【操作方式】 结合本课的重点内容出示一个中国地图，结合地图描述城市间的远近距离不同。 T:  This is a map of China. We live in Liaoning. Liaoning is near to JiLin. But Liaoning is far from Xijiang.  Can you talk about others? 【设计意图】创设真实的情境，学生理解并应用语言结构，达成语言知识目标。 2. 【操作方式】 出示关于本课重点语句的填空形式，让同桌二人互相帮助完成。 T: Can you fill in the blanks? This is space. The _____  is very big and it’s very ______. This planet  is  _______  the sun. It’s very hot. This planet  is  ________  the sun. So it’s very cold. This planet  is  _________ .It has got ____________________. 【设计意图】既是对重点单词、语句的操练，又为后面的语篇输出做铺垫。
