Inexperience, combined with the newfound freedom of being recognized as legal adults, can have consequences many students do not notice until it is too late. After twelve years of going to school for six to eight hours every weekday, the relative freedom of the college class schedule is a new concept. Many professors do not have attendance requirements except being in the classroom on testing days and turning in all assignments.
