Monkeys and Bananas (猴子與香蕉)
Captain Cat and Kitty Cutey were having a walk in the wood. They had some fruit with them and were going to have a picnic in the wood.
There were mokeys playing in the trees.
Some monkeys got close to them, hoping to get some fruit.
Captain Cat gave some bananas to the monkeys and told Kitty Cutey about h
ow hunters would catch monkeys.
Captain Cat said,
“The hunters would take a big barrel and fill it with bananas and other fruit.
On the side of the barrel, they cut a small hole, just big enough that the mon
key would barely put his arm through it.
Kitty Cutey
Captain Cat
And then they put the barrel to where monkeys appeared. The monkey would reach his arm to the hole and grab the treats. But when he held his fist, it would be too big to get out of the hole.
The monkey was so stubborn and wanted to hold on to the bananas.
Even when the hunter came, he wouldn’t let the treats go.
So he became prey for the hunter.
“The monkey just centered on the bananas and didn’t notice the danger!”
Said Kitty Cutey.
“That’s right. If he would get his mind off the bananas, he wouldn’t be caught
by the hunter.” Captain Cat continued, “ It’s the same way, when you only center on your own needs and problems.”
Captain Cat
“ Hey, Cutey, what are you doing?”
“ I’m making a barrel of bananas and hoping to catch monkeys.”
