食品安全英文讲稿 Abstract Due to the great economic motivation , producing and selling illegal cooking oil has become common phenomenon in our society. The illegal cooking oil makes great influence on our body health. The serious problem must be solved. At beginning of this presentation, author states the source of illegal cooking oil, then tells us what’s effect the illegal cooking oil makes on our body. After that, author gives five steps to distinguish illegal cooking oil and qualified oil. At last, author presents three measures to wipe out the the existence of illegal cooking oil. Good morning, everyone, My name is XXX, a professor of food science engineering at Wuhan Polytechnic University (WHPU), revealed that one in every 10 meals in our country might have been cooked with illegal cooking oil based on an ongoing study. Today, my presentation is on “The illegal cooking oil”. I will show you it with four sections:1.Source of illegal cooking oil; 2.The influence on our health; 3.Identify illegal cooking oil; 4.Measures of solving this problem. Now let’s begin the first section: Source of illegal cooking oil. The illegal cooking oil is recycled from waste oil collected from sources such as restaurant fryers, drains(排水沟), grease traps(油脂捕集器)and slaughterhouse waste. Reprocessing is often very rudimentary; techniques include filtration(过滤), boiling, refining(精炼)and the removal of adulterants (掺杂物). It is then packaged and resold as a cheaper alternative to normal cooking oil. Used kitchen oil can be purchased for between 859 and 937 dollars per ton while the cleaned and refined product can sell for 1,560 per ton. Here I must tell the truth: our country's underground oil refining businesses have grown pretty mature. There is a whole set of procedures for producing illegal cooking oil. An investigation in Wuhan showed few restaurants are willing to hire the city's sanitation workers for kitchen waste collection.The owner of a restaurant in the Wuhan, last Friday told China Daily he serves at least 50 tables a day, which produces two big barrels of kitchen waste. According to the restaurateur, the waste could be collected and recycled by sanitation workers, but an official with the Wuhan urban management bureau told that sanitation workers never collect waste from restaurants. It sounds strange,but why? The restaurants have to pay a certain fee if they hire the city's sanitation workers, However selling kitchen waste to private factory can make up to 10,000 yuan every year. Thus there is great economic motivation to produce and sell illegal cooking oil. It is estimated that up to one in every ten lower market restaurant meals consumed in China is prepared with illegal cooking oil. This high prevalence(流行)is due to what Feng Ping of the China Meat Research Center has made clear: "The illegal oil shows no difference in appearance after refining because the law breakers are skillful at coping with the established standards." Besides, we should know what’s effect the illegal cooking oil makes on our body. So the second section The influence on our health is very necessary. illegal cooking oil has been shown to be very toxic, can cause diarrhea(痢 疾) and abdominal(腹部的)pain. There are also reports that long-term consumption of the illegal cooking oil can lead to stomach and liver cancer(肝 癌)as well as developmental disabilities in newborns and children. But for us ,what’s the most important thing. Of course, keeping away from the the illegal cooking oil. So in the third section ,I will show you How to identify the illegal cooking oil. There are five steps can help you: 1.Look.look the oil's Transparency, pure plant oil is transparent. 2.Smell.every kind of oil has its special odor. 3.Taste.Use chopsticks to take a drop of oil to taste . 4.Listen.Take bottom oil one or two drops,spread on paper,then light it,if you can listen normal combustion(燃烧) noise , it is qualified products. 5.Asked the merchant purchase channels,if necessary,you can ask for its bill or check the local food hygiene supervision department's report. In fact , it’s hard to tell the difference between illegal cooking oil and ordinary ones just by looking and smelling, because of the illegal oil has been blended into qualified oil. Even if we can identify the illegal cooking oil in time, the serious problem is still existing. We have to take measures to wipe out the existence of illegal cooking oil. So in the last section, I try to present some measures to solve this problem. In the current situation, preventing of the use of illegal cooking oil should start at its source. The first step is to ensure an official, standardized collection of kitchen waste by improve the standards as soon as possible. The second step is come on the inspection standard of “illegal cooking” food punishment. The third step, strengthen the implementation of the policy and regulation. That’s all! So , any question?
