The Rehabilitation Center of Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists has been providing top
quality physical therapy and athletic training services since 1998 in a state of the art
5,800 square foot facility in Biloxi, MS. Our goal is to provide the best therapeutic care
from start to finish to get you back to normal, back to work or back in the game as
quickly and safely as possible.
Our facility includes a variety of modalities and functional rehabilitation equipment
including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis and traction; and also features
pneumatic un-weighting system to assist in gait training, a Biodex Isokinetic System 3 in
order to assist in determining when an athlete is safe to return to sports post injury and
Cybex exercise equipment all designed to aid in returning patients to their maximum
ability and independence as quickly and safely as possible.
The Rehabilitation Center of Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists maintains a treatment
philosophy for physical therapy and rehabilitation that emphasizes the importance of
providing the highest quality of patient care in order to obtain the ultimate goal of
restoring our patients to their maximum potential and functional independence. In order
to accomplish these objectives, we utilize the latest advances in hands-on treatment
techniques in combination with state-of-the-art equipment. The treatment procedures
produce improved functional outcomes with the lowest rehabilitation costs possible. We
also have a unique symbiotic relationship with our 12 physicians at the Rehabilitation
Center of Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists that you will not find at other physical
therapy clinics; which allows the best and most effective possible treatment of our
patients.
Our services include general orthopaedic physical therapy, post-surgical physical therapy,
acute injury evaluation, sports therapy, athletic screenings, biomechanical orthotics, spine
and back rehabilitation, home exercise programs and more.
Our staff includes licensed physical therapists, certified athletic trainers and licensed
physical therapy assistants. We work in treatment “teams” to provide you with the best
personal care. Our licensed health care professionals are trained in state-of-the-art
rehabilitation and manual techniques in rehabilitating orthopaedic and sports-related
injuries, as well as post-operative conditions.
Physical Therapy Staff:
Teresa Smith, BS.P.T. Clinical Director, a graduate from the University of South
Alabama in 2000, which is when she started with the company. She specializes in manual
therapy, sports medicine, female ACL injury prevention, custom orthotics, golf injury
prevention and rehab, overhead throwing athletes injury prevention and rehab, and
general orthopaedics.
Rachael Hines, M.P.T. is a graduate from University of Mississippi Medical Center in
2005, she joined the staff in 2006. Rachael has a strong dancing and cheerleading
background along with extensive knowledge in manual therapy, sports medicine and
general orthopaedics.
Kristin Uribe, PT technician, graduated from Mississippi State University in 2005 with a
degree in Exercise Physiology.
Alisha Farrish, PT, native of Greenwood, MS, graduated from Mississippi College in
2006 where she earned a BS in Biology. While at MS College she was a member of the
softball team. She attended University Medical Center Physical Therapy School and
received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009.
Appolonia Butler, PT technician, is currently pursuing her degree from the University of
Southern Mississippi.
Brittany Balius, Office Manager, graduated from MGCCC with a degree in business and
photography.
