稳固的边缘：老挝华人社会的认同研究 稳固的边缘:老挝华人社会的认同研究 广西民族大学 硕士学位论文 稳固的边缘老挝华人社会的认同研究 姓名罗华 申请学位级别硕士 专业民族学 指导教师黄兴球 20080401 稳固的边缘老挝华人社会的认同研究 摘 要 在生机勃勃的东南亚研究领域里老挝研究鲜有成果这些是由老挝内 陆的地理环境极不便利的交通落后的经济等一系列综合因素影响所造成 的而关于老挝华人社会的研究也在其他东南亚国家如新加坡马来西 亚泰国等发达的华人社会研究的对比下受到冷遇即便有学者意于研究 也会因为资料的匮乏陈旧等原因影响而进展缓慢在本研究中为填补老 挝华人社会认同研究领域的空白笔者亲历老挝调查与当地华人进行访 谈搜集资料在了解老挝华人社会的历史与现状的基础上探讨老挝华人 的认同意识 在研究中笔者将老挝华人社会的发展史分为四个时期并对其特性加 以概括为壮大完善时期从 20 世纪初50 年代初 平缓发展时期 20 世纪 50 年代初1975 年 发展停滞和萎缩时期1975 年 1986 年和复苏发展时期1986 年至今并对华人社会进行解构分 析探讨华人社会的生物性地理性社会性和文化性等组合因素及对认同 的影响对华人社会的衣食住语言等象及信仰价值取向社会关 系等内在因素进行描写论述并与老挝社会进行同类比较讨论华人社会所 受到的来自老挝的同化因素的压力并在此基础上分析华人的认同意识最 后分析得出老挝华人社会所具有的根植和中线的特性并由此形 成了在老挝和中国之间的稳固的边缘 关键词老挝 华人社会 认同 1 A Stable Frontier a Study of Identity in the Chinese Society in Laos ABSTRACT In the burgeoning field of Southeast Asian Studies there is still little research on Laos This is a result of various factors such as the countrys landlocked position the inconvenience of communications and its underdeveloped economy and has led to the neglect of the study of Lao Chinese society in favour of the more widely researched fields of countries like Singapore Malaysia and Thailand The development of this interesting topic of research has also been hampered by the lack of or age of available materials This research attempts to fill in the blanks concerning the Chinese society in Laos I visited Laos to interview local Chinese and collect materials and based on the history of Lao Chinese I have made a discussion of Lao Chinese identity In this research I divide the history of the Chinese in Laos into four discrete periods according to their characteristics the period of strong growth from the beginning of the twentieth century to the 1950s the period of peaceful development from the 1950s to 1975 the period of stagnation and shrinkage from 1975 to 1986 the period of rebirth from 1986 until the present As well as this I have carried out a systematic analysis of the Chinese society in Laos an investigation of the influence of biological geographical societal and cultural elements on the identity of Chinese society and a detailed description of outer expressions of Chinese society such as their clothing food language use dwellings and its inner expressions such as religious beliefs values and social relations comparing them with the rest of Lao society Based on this and on the pressure to assimilate from Laos I make an analysis of the identity of Lao Chinese Finally I make an analysis of the distinctive roots and boundaries of the Lao Chinese society which has made it a stable frontier between China and Laos KEYWORDS Laos Overseas Chinese Society Identity 2 1 绪论 11 选题的学术意义 至今为止国内外对老挝华人的研究由于老挝落后的经济极不便利的交通等条 件的限制一直处于比较低潮的状态鲜有专著对老挝关注较多的研究领域基本上是 老挝的经济对外国家关系文教等方面而涉及老挝的著作大多是将老挝作为东南亚 国家或印支三国中的一员来看待其研究也大多是对老挝的情况做概略性的描述又 由于与其他东南亚国家华人社会相比老挝华人社会从人数到规模都比较小所以关于 老挝华人的研究则更为稀少多是从华人移民社会研究或东南亚华人的角度对老挝华 人研究有所涉及现今国内关于老挝华人的研究多是国内期刊发表的文章总的来 说关于老挝华人的研究存在着资料陈旧匮乏的情况现今国内外对于老挝华人的研 究也仅局限在表面包括有老挝华人社会概况经济状况等概括性的研究对于老挝华 人社会内部老挝华人族群都没有涉及深入的研究而老挝华人社会的认同研究目前还 是空白 在本文中作者试图通过对老挝社会的实地调查
