in China: Wal-Mart shopping plaza, Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart neighborhood market, of which,
Wal-Mart shopping plaza is the main type.
以“天天平价”的哲学为基础,沃尔玛所开创的“购物广场”理念为顾客节省了时间
和开支,并提供了一种独特的购物体验。购物广场以沃尔玛折扣店内传统的36个非食品商品部门为特色。山姆会员商店就像是会员们的采购代理,以“会员特惠价格”向公司和个人提
供超值的名牌商品。山姆会员商店以大包装、低利润的经营方式,使顾客可享受低廉的仓储
价格。除了物美价廉、品种齐全的名牌商品之外,山姆会员商店还提供各式各款的食品,包
括海鲜、蔬果、糕点及其它食品和非食品种类,此外,会员还可享受本地某些餐厅和休闲娱
乐场所的折扣。第三种就是“社区店”,是比购物广场稍微小一点的商店,主要是植根在社
区,服务社区的基本要求,但与其他的便利店不同,也会提供生鲜产品。
Based on the philosophy of “Every Day Low Price”, the idea of “shopping plaza” is initiated by Wal-Mart to help the customers save both time and expenses, and meanwhile, provide a special
shopping experience. Shopping plazas are characterized by 36 non-food commodity departments
in Wal-Mart discount stores. Sam’s Club is just like a purchasing agent for its members, with
“member preferential price”, it provides companies and individuals with incredible value name
brands. Through the operation modes of large packaging and low profit, Wal-Mart enables its
customers enjoy low storage prices. Except for a complete range of name brands with low price
and high quality, Sam’s Club also provides a variety of foods, including seafood, vegetables, fruits,
pastries, and other foods and non-food products, besides, the members can also enjoy discounts in
the some local restaurants and entertainment places. The third kind is “neighborhood market”,
which is a little smaller than the shopping plaza. It is usually set up in the community, and meets
the community’s basic requirements, different from other convenience store, it will also provide
fresh products.
沃尔玛在中国的经营始终坚持本地采购,提供更多的就业机会,支持当地制造业,促进
当地经济的发展。目前,沃尔玛中国销售的产品中本地产品达到95%以上。在由中国连锁经
营协会和国际商业机器中国有限公司企业咨询服务部(原普华永道咨询公司)主办的中国消费品制造行业与中国零售业工商关系调查中,沃尔玛在“信用良好,付款结算正确无误的满
意度”连续几年得分名列第一。沃尔玛一贯视供应商为合作伙伴,与供应商共同发展。
Wal-Mart always insists on local purchase in China, offers more job opportunities, supports
the local manufacturing industry and promotes the development of the local economy. At present,
the local products account for over 95% of all the products sold by Wal-Mart in China. In Industry
and Commerce Relational Surveys on China Consumable Manufacturing Industry and China
Retail Trade, held by China Chain Store & Franchise Association and Business Consulting Service
Department of IBM (the original PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PWCC)), Wal-Mart took
the first place of “the satisfaction degree on good credit and accurate payment and settlement” in the consecutive several years. Wal-Mart always treats the suppliers as cooperation partners,
and wants to have mutual development with them.
