"Starback, a typical western culture, how can it entered and stationed in the Forbidden City, the place where is penetrated with Chinese? Of course, foreign culture is making a incursion to our national culture. Some hold these ideas while others consider that it is only a place for tourists to have a rest. The Mcdonald seated in Confucian Temple, Nanjing; KFC lied in Beihai Park, are these all belong to cultural invasion? Here, we do not entangle with it, but the phenomena we can not ignore is that a large number of external things are emerging into our country. Nowadays, the western festivals, for instance, Christmas Day, Lovers' Day, Thanksgiving Day, Mother's Day, Father's day, blossom in a great rapidity in our country, more and more people, especially youth people like to celebrate them. After the policy of reforming and open up, many westerns sweep across to the oriental land. There is no doubt we will be influenced by these external cultures. Now, as for how to deal with natural culture and foreign culture seems most important and essential. In my opinion, it divides into two parts. On one hand, focus on the role of innovation and research in our national culture. On the other hand, extracting the best and exploring the greatest of external cultures, on the basis of acknowledging the diversity of culture, having a clear sense that each culture is equal and worth to be respected. "Neither the military nor ideological clash is the core conflict in modern times, but the cultural clash." said Guo, the director of policy and culture department, Peking University. So, strengthening our national culture is the urgent affair. Insisting on the principle, we should construct the innovative culture to enhance our independent innovative capabilities, inherit our excellent civilization then carry them forward. The hot famous program "Baijiajiangtan" is a very perfect way to transmit and carry our ancient and treasure culture forward. Second, we should have bright and uninhibited minds to these foreign cultures. Confucius once said:" seek common ground while putting aside the difference, which is a gentleman's action." Each culture has its advantages and elites, we should look at external culture in a lenient and learn attitude, and combine their excellent parts into ours. Taking Mother's Day for example, we Chinese celebrate the festival to express our grateful mind to our mothers, which also conform to our rule-filial sentiments. As far as I am concerned, the culture in itself, which contains ability to acknowledgment, melting others' cream into ours; converting the foreign quintessence into our national culture, and then enhance our traditional culture. Under the big environment-globalization, our country is linked closely to the outside, culture clash and combination are inevitable. The most we should do is to assimilate their wallies aspects to innovative our national culture, and carry them forward. Never forget: innovation, absorption, then innovation.
