Rieter Textile Systems AIRlace 3000 Spunlace / Airlaid combination Rieter Perfojet has developed a Spunlace / Airlaid combination dedicated to the high speed production of wet-wipes. The AIRlace 3000 technology gives perfect uniformity, performing like 100% spunlaced Nonwovens with lower energy requirements for bonding, softness, absorption. This concept enables to entangle all kinds of webs combining synthetic fibres and pulp (grammage between 35 and 80 gsm). The production of the AIRlace 3000 is very cost effective and offers an extremely short return on investment. This financial advantage does not compromise the technical features and performance offered by the new concept. Highlights − The use of special random microporous sleeves which provide secondary bonding action during the initial bonding stages, thereby reducing the global energy requirement in producing a Spunlaced fabric. This eliminates the need of using an apron to transport the web on the first cylinder which is an inefficient use of energy at this pre-bonding stage − Slot design inside the injector body, which eliminates Rieter Textile Systems Page 2 of 2 turbulence thereby creating a cohesive water needle which provides more effective and efficient bonding. The more cohesive the water needle, the more energy efficient the machine will be. − Before the Airlaid machine, a special sleeve design enables the formation of a Nonwovens product with "Peaks & Valleys" which creates a better blend uniformity of Nonwovens fabric and pulp (Rieter Perfojet Patent). − Several injectors on the flat conveyor in order to integrate the pulp in the Nonwovens fabric.
