He wanted to become a sailor, but there was no people to support him go outside to take risks. He insisted to his original dream. What impresses me most is his character. He was a man full of passion and determination. He lived in island about 28 years. He was a hero in my heart. The paper aims to analyze Crusoe’s character. Character Analysis of Robinson Crusoe The first time I chose to read the 《The Tom of Sawyer》and delivered the reading diary to my professor, but I made a ridiculous mistake that the writer of the 《The Tom of Sawyer》was not British. I thought for a long time, but there was no idea in my mind. From my childhood, my brother took great influence on me. In my memory, he liked the adventure stories, especially the 《Robinson Crusoe》。So I chose to read the 《Robinson Crusoe》without doubt. As I read this book in depth,I found that I really like it than I expected. So I gave my most part of my spare time to read this it. Now, I want to avail this opportunity to share some valuable things to you. As we all know,《Robinson Crusoe》is regarded as the literature masterpieces. I think most of us are familiar with this work from our childhood. We can enjoy Daniel Defoe’s fluent writing styles, vivid and detailed descriptions, which will place us in that specific period’s history and culture. I am attracted by the hero’s characters. If someone asks me why I am so particularly impressed by this work, I will tell him I am inspired by the hero without hesitation. Maybe most of us will give up our dream, if there many people go against you. Robinson encourage himself to realize his dream. Everyone have a dream when he or she reaches to a certain age. As Robinson did, many times we don't want to listen to our parents' word without any reason. This may be a kind of treachery mental state. Many people in today’s society, they have affluent family, much of them will feel satisfied with their live. They will not create wealth any more. We give them a nickname” Neets”. At last, they have no survival skill to live in this real world。 Strong will and infinite wisdom of Robinson Crusoe When I read this before, I learn from my brother that Robinson was survived in that island more than 28 years. I was shocked by that news. There many problems in my mind, how can a people live in an island so many years with no people to talk and accompany? How he survived with no food and clothes? After I read the book, I especially admire his strong will and infinite wisdom. When he was drifted to an island, he did not panic and fear, but he took actions to protect him and found ways to leave the island. There was no way out, the second step was to create a homeland on the island. From these, we can have many evident to show that he was a smart sailor. If this happened to us, we would scared to death,especially we have no life experience. Crusoe availed his wisdom to save the savage “Friday”, that chapter is my favorite. We learn that we must be optimistic to our life from 《Robinson Crusoe》.On the one hand, we should not to give up our original dream for the influence of the external factors. Everything in the world is not easy; we should stick to our original dreams. There is an old saying “There is a will, there is a way”. I believe all of us will have a bright future. On the other hand, if we confront the difficulties, we should take the positive attitude to deal with it. We can take advantage of our wisdom to find the solutions. If you give up, everything will fail. Self-confidence, good self-reflection, gratitude Why I think Crusoe was a confident people is that he was confident to deal with the savage. There was a plan in his mind about how to defeat the savage. He could successfully leave the island and return to his motherland,he did much preparation. Self-confidence and gratitude is also his characters. He deeply repented his sins in the unfortunate situations and found ways to avoid the same mistakes again. There was frequent criticism in the work that Crusoe criticized him not to appreciate the God. He put his whole heart to the God; he thought that he drifted to the lonely island as the punishment to him. The Crusoe who was in trouble has not imaginable and strong will to survive in that island than the ordinary people. He was a miracle, because he survived in that island more than 28 years. He was superior to the ordinary people. After reading this famous book, Crusoe had great influence on me. If I were him, could I live in that island? Maybe I were frighten to death or starved to death. We also think someone who is very intelligent. But I think the standard to measure one is smart or not is that he must be in danger. On that condition,it can test whether he is a person with strong will or he has a clever mind. The person with strong will and clever mind will face the difficulties and overcome it. At last, he will be miracle and achieve final success. Rational When he came to the island, there was no food, no clothes, no shelter and no friends. He would feel despair to the disaster. He would not protect himself without the weapon. Actually, he was in danger. There are many wild animals and savages on the island. However, Crusoe was calm and aware of the conditions. The most important thing to him was the survival. So he planned his life on the island. Hardworking There is an old saying that character decides your fate. Why Crusoe could survive for so many years was that he was willing to work. He built the shelter and planted the food. He regarded that island as his territory. He was the king; he changed his kingdom into an orderly and prosperous home. He has no assistant to help him to make the tools, so he spent much time in doing one thing which was time-consuming. He has two luxury villas which he took great effort in building the villas. Compared to the people who confronted the problems would back down, Crusoe was a strong and great man. Conclusion I believe that the strong will and infinite wisdom is crucial to one’s success. In Crusoe’s world, there was no problem that he could not deal with. In our world,
