英美文化报告Assessmentpresentation学校school：中央财经大学CentralUniversityofFinanceandEconomics班级class：金融学院大一五班FinanceCollege,class15姓名name：苏伟鹏TheSocietyandCultureofUKUnitedKingdomofGreatBritainandNorthernIreland,knownastheUK,alsoknownastheUnitedKingdom,continentalEurope,nativeislocatedinthenorthwestoftheBritishIsles,surroundedbyNorthsea,theEnglishchannel,CelticSea,IrishSeaandtheAtlantic.                                                                                                                    Britainisahighlydevelopedcapitalistcountry.OneofEurope'sfourlargesteconomies,itscitizenshaveahigherstandardoflivingandagoodsocialsecuritysystem.BritainisoneofthefivepermanentmembersoftheUNSecuritycouncil.IbelievethatBritainnowhasinternationalstatus,andnativespeakersofEnglishintheworldwidelyspread,andtheUKinthefirstindustrialrevolutionhaslaidthefoundationforworldpower.ThemostcriticalisthattheUKintheinternationalfinancialindustry,hasalwaysbeenaleadingposition.UnitedKingdomofGreatBritainandNorthernIreland,knownastheUK,alsoknownastheUnitedKingdom,continentalEurope,nativeislocatedinthenorthwestoftheBritishIsles,surroundedbyBeihai,theEnglishchannel,CelticSea,IrishSeaandtheAtlantic.ThepowerfulBritishcertainlycannotdowithoutoneofthemostsuitablepoliticalsystem,thegloriousrevolutionof1688,theBritishestablishedaepoch-makinggovernment,anewpoliticalsystemisestablished,itiswidelycirculatedintheconstitutionalmonarchy.Thissystembreaksdowntherightsoftheking,addinganametotheking'shead,whichiscalledtheconstitution,whichmakesthekinginastateofunity.Throughthehistoryofprecipitation,especiallyintheSecondWorldWar,theconstitutionalmonarchytobesublimated,completelydodecentralizationtothepeople,thepositionofthekingfromtherulerofthestateintothenationalsymbolofthespirit.Theconstitution,whichwasborninacountrywithastrongatmosphereofconservatism,hasastrongconservatism.TheconservativepartyisthedirectcauseoftheconservatismoftheBritishconstitution,andmostoftherulingpartiesinBritainaremainlybasedontheconservativeparty.AndtheBritishconstitutionrespecttradition,respectfortraditionisthesourceofeffectivenessoftheBritishconstitution.ThecontentoftheconstitutionofBritainisspecial,thecaselawandcustomarylaw,andthereisnouniformconstitutionalcode,mostofthecivilrights.BritishcitizenscurrentlyintheUKwhohavereachedtheageof18arenoteligibletocancelthelawhavetherighttovote,buttheresidencequalificationsremain,votersinaconstituencymustresidein3--4monthsormoretovotersregisteredinthebook.Allcitizenswhohavereachedtheageof21havetherighttovote,butthenobles,bishops,judges,seniorcivilservants,militarypersonnel,declaredbankrupt,felonyoffenders,authorizedtohandletheelectionofthepersoninchargehasnotbeenelected.Britain'smainpoliticalpartiesaretheconservativeparty,theLabourParty,theLiberalDemocraticPartyofthethreemajorparties.Intheelection,mostmembersoftheelectoratearemembersofseveralparties,othersmallpartiesorindependentcandidateswanttoformanewgovernmentintheelection,itisimpossible.Firstofall,thethreemajorpartyrootssolid,notasmallpartyorindependentcandidatecanshake.Secondly,evenifthesmallpartiessucceedinpower,butmostofthepublicopinionisstillbiasedtowardsthethreeparty,itisimpossibletosuccessfullysetupanewgovernment.ThegreatstrengthoftheUnitedKingdomisinseparablefromthestrongeconomicsupport,thenationaleconomyisthethreemajorareasofproduction,technologyandservices.Thesethreepointscoverthevastmajorityofthebasicnationaleconomy.Intermsofproduction,theBritishmanufacturingindustrycanbesaidtobeapioneerintheworld'smanufacturingindustry,byleadingthefirstindustrialrevolutionandthesecondindustrialrevolution,theBritishmanufacturingindustryasearlyaseighteenthCenturyhasbeenformed.Untilnow,theBritishmanufacturingsectorinsomeareasstillmaintaintheleadingpositionintheworld.Technology,themanufacturingindustryisverystrongintheUnitedKingdom,butalsohasnearly34%oftheworld'spatents,eventheUnitedStates,thereisnosuchanumberofpatentsintheUnitedkingdom.Service,Britainisthefifthlargesteconomyintheworld,isalsoaleaderintheeducationsector,BritishtrainednumeroustalentsfortheBritishthirdindustryintoeverfountpowerandsurgingvitality.Educationisabigproblemineverycountry.Eachcountryhasitsowncharacteristics,eachcountry'seducationisnotthesame.IntheUK,thepurposeoftheschoolistoprovidechildrenwithliteracyandotherbasicskillsthattheywillneedtobecomeactivemembersofsociety.InChinese,thisisforeveryonetoaccepttheeducation,knowledgeandskillstoenablethemtosurviveinthesociety,Chinesesocialisteducationalaimandtheoryistoprovidetheknowledgeofscienceandtechnology,developmentofproductiveforces,tomeettheneedsofthesocialistcause.TheBritisheducationalsystemnotonlymakemorecomplicated,morescientificthepaceofsociety,arealsoexploringendlessknowledgeandperfectconstantlygobeyondtheboundariesofthestudyarea.Britisheducationseemstobemoreconcernedwiththepracticalabilityofpeopleandtheircreativityinsolvingproblems.Theygivestudentsmoreroomforphysicalandmentaldevelopment,studentshaveenoughtime,energyandopportunitiestocontactwiththeoutsideworld,contactwiththeenvironmenttheyliveandcloselyrelatedtosociety.ThebiggestpoliticalissueintheUK,however,isthepoliticalprobleminNorthernIreland,whichhasbeengoingonfornearly30years,withmorethan2000innocentcivilianskilledintheviolence.AnanalysisofthefundamentalnatureoftheproblemiscausedbythecontroversialpositionofNorthernIrelandintheUnitedKingdomandthedominanceofaminorityethnicgroup,andthediscriminationbythemajorityofthecoalitionparties.Inaddition,theBritishgovernmentistryingtoremainneutralintheconflictandmaintainthelawandorderinNorthernIreland.TheIrishRepublicsawthegovernmentasa"combatant"intheconflict".Aseriouspoliticalconflict,evenclosetothecivilwar.Inordertoresolvethisdispute,Ithinkweshouldstartfromthefollowingtwopoints:1.politicaldifferentiation,throughthedifferentiationofdifferentpartiesintheRepublicanArmy,sothatsomeoftheradicalsintointernalfriction.2.immigrants,throughtheencouragementofimmigrationpolicy,sothatlocalresidentsoftheUnitedKingdomandNorthernIrelandresidentstoeachother,theintegrationofthetwocultures,differenceswillgraduallydisappear.
