(My view on Job-Hopping) 1997(6 Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition based on the topic “My View on Job-Hopping”. You should write at least 120 words and you should base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below: 1(有些人喜欢始终从事一种工作,因为?? 2(有些人喜欢经常换工作,因为?? 3(我的看法。 Reasons for choosing one occupation as life-long career A. some people’s preference B. devoted scientists and doctors having great interest in their work C. Conclusion 扩展:Reasons for job-hopping vary A. a stepping stone B. likeness of variety and new challenges in life C. a bright future belief 结尾:Affirmative attitudes towards job-hopping A. lifetime employment out of date B. job-hopping on the move C. a good way for the push My View on Job-Hopping Different people have different attitudes towards their work. Some prefer to choose one occupation as their life-long career. To a devoted scientist, theoretical reasoning and experiments are most exciting and far from boring. Doctors, if they think it is their duty to assist the wounded and rescue the dying, are happy to treat their patients. In one word, work is wonderful for those who enjoy their present jobs. It is no surprise that they are unwilling to change their jobs. However, some people will change their career directions repeatedly. Their reasons for job-hopping vary. Some use it as a stepping-stone to other job opportunities; others like variety in life and like to periodically take on new challenges. They believe that they will have a bright future through job-hopping. Whatever reasons people may have, gone are the days of lifetime employment. It is encouraging to see job-hopping has become increasingly common. I think if one is really in dead-end job, with no room for advancement, then it is time for him or her to move on, until a promising and satisfactory job is found. Job-hopping may in some respects be a good way to help one get better jobs or other opportunities for development, and bring his or her talents into full play. 亮点词语有: prefer to(更喜欢,宁愿);far from(远不是);第一段的第四句 的原因状语置于主句使句式富于变化;In one word(简而言之, 一言以蔽之);It is no surprise that(难怪);过去分词短语gone are the days of(?? 篇二:我对“跳槽”现象的看法(My View on Job 我对“跳槽”现象的看法(My View on Job My View on Job-Hopping A lot of people like to do one job in their lives. They think people who change their jobs frequently are feckless. They believe that the only way to success is to stick to one job, for constant practice in a professional field helps make an expert. But there are many people who argue for changing their jobs, they argue that change means progress. They think if you are not satisfied with your present job, of course you have the right to replace it with a more challenging and better paid one. Each change means further success. My view on job-hopping is that it is reasonable to change your job if you have a better opportunity. 篇三:有关跳槽的英语材料 if one changes his job frequently, he will not get the necessary experience needed in his work. Besides, if a person does only one job all his life, he will certainly be bored with it. So if a person is not interested in his job, job hopping is normal and even necessary. Otherwise, he will suffer from his work, and inevitably, he is not likely to succeed in his career. They think people who change their jobs frequently are feckless. They believe that the only way to success is to stick to one job, for constant practice in a professional field helps make an expert. But there are many people who argue for changing their jobs, they argue that change means progress. My view on job-hopping is that it is reasonable to change your job if you have a better opportunity. sometimes changing jobs brings benefit, but the constant job-hopping hinders their reputation and interrupts daily life. The biggest disadvantage of job-hopping is that it brings negative affect on the trust issues. There is no doubt that he will be surprised and giving no chance to the guy, because he worries about the guy won’t stay long in the company. In addition, the constant job-hopping also interrupts the normal life. All of these take a lot of time, the new job means to restart again, the different work place needs to relocate, you need to adjust yourself. For most people, they need to change jobs sometimes, it is normal. But some people change jobs without further thinking, they make the rush decision, which damages their careers, so it is better to take a wise decision. Most people change jobs several times in their careers, especially the young people, they keep switching companies, we call it job-hopping. For young people, sometimes changing jobs brings benefit, but the constant job-hopping hinders their reputation and interrupts daily life. The biggest disadvantage of job-hopping is that it brings negative affect on the trust issues. When the employer sees the resume of a job applicant, the thing he cares about most is the job experience, while if there are more than 10 different job experiences on the resume, what will the employer thinks~There is no doubt that he will be surprised and giving no chance to the guy, because he worries about the guy won’t stay long in the company. In addition, the constant job-hopping also interrupts the normal life. Changing a job means to find the new employer, to rewrite the cover letter and to prepare for the interview, how annoying it is. Directions: For this part, you are allowed thirty minutes to write a composition on the topic My View on dob-hopping. You should write at least 120 words and you should base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below: My View on Job-hopping people have different attitudes towards their work. Some prefer to stick to one occupation as their lifelong career. These people are of the opinion that one can never do his work well unless he is devoted to only one job in his lifetime. So if one changes his job frequently, he will not get the necessary experience needed in his work. Others, on the other hand, like to change their jobs at times. In their opinion, people work in order to make more money. If they havea chance to get a better paid job, they will certainly try to get this chance. Besides, if a person does only one job all his life, he will certainly be bored with it. My idea is that interest is the most important if one wants to excel others in his job. So if a person is not interested in his job, job hopping is normal and even necessary. Otherwise, he will suffer from his work, and inevitably, he is not likely to succeed in his career. Directions: For this part, you are allowed thirty minutes to write a composition on the topic My View on dob-hopping. So if one changes his job frequently, he will not get the necessary experience needed in his work. Others, on the other hand, like to change their jobs at times. In their opinion, people work in order to make more money. If they have a chance to get a better paid job, they will certainly try to get this chance. Otherwise, he will suffer from his work, and inevitably, he is not likely to succeed in his career. 1. Seniority: Executives who remain at a single company are able to rise in seniority, rather than having to compete for a stronger role at each new company as they go. 1. 2. Stability: If executives are perpetually moving, it's difficult to make long-term plans. A little stability in career and workplace can help them cope more effectively with the stresses that are sure to occur within the rest of their lives. 2. 3. Increased Benefits: Many companies increase paid time off for employees who stay at a job for a certain number of years. Executives who stay can spend more time with their families and achieve more lifestyle goals with the extra time off and the extra stock and retirement savings long-term employment affords. 3. 4. Dependability: An executive who is willing to stay the course for 10 or more years (which is typical in Japan and other European countries) demonstrates a level of dependability that companies will generally reward and respect. 4.
