The name "yandang" comes from the lake of beautiful view on the top of the mountain and where the spreading reed, and the wild geese come and live here in autumn. the best season of Yandang mountain a year is march - October. Wenzhou region is a subtropical Marine climate, the spring and summer precipitation is more, the temperature is appropriate, with green mountains and waterfalls ,Autumn and winter rainfall is less, and the scenery yandang reiki half is to water Yandang Mountain, famous for its peaks, screen-like peaks, caves and waterfalls, is a mountainous natural resort on seaside. It is a typical ancient rhyolite volcano with area of 450 square meters in total, 550 scenic sites and 8 scenic zones .included. Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan Rock and Dalong Qiu Waterfall are called as "Three Famous Scenic Sites of Yandang Mountain". In February 2005, with ' ancient volcano model ' ,the Yandang Mountain given by UNESCO as world geological park, Mode of transport The Yandang Shan mountains can be reached by taking the boat from Shanghai to Haimen and then proceeding by bus and train,which is also possible from Ningbo and Wenzhou.The sights :temples,pavilions, caves,waterfalls,peaks,etc.,can be visited,not to mention the many gorges,rock formations and passes.The highest mountain of the Yandang Shan range is 1,150 m high.The entire massif covers an area of 400 km. And because southern yandang mountain is near my home ,i will introduce it clearly . The Spiritual Peaks (Lingfeng Peaks) The Spiritual Peaks is at the east gate of Yandang Mountain.Climbing up along the Puxi Stream,one can easily find the Old Monk Rock.Facing to the southeast,the 'old monk' salutes with the hands folded.It's so vivid that the rock has been considered one of the most significant scenic spots at Yandang Mountain.The sight of the peaks during the day is breath-taking and in the evening,is even more attractive. When night falls,with a little imagination, one can see many beautiful 'pictures' under the moonlight,such as 'an eagle retracting its wings', 'a wife-and-husband peak', 'a rhinoceros looking at the moon', 'a love-sick maiden' etc. Not far from Lingyan Si there are two peaks:Tianzhu Feng and Zhanqi Feng.The Southern Heavenly Gate,Nantian Men,is between them. Tianzhou Feng peak seems to reach up to the sky,so it is called Pillar of Heaven.Dalongqiu Pubu waterfall is 4 km west of Ma'an Ling peak.It is one of the largest waterfalls in China. In its vicinity,numerous gorges,caves and Buddha sculptures can be seen.One can climb up to the Dragon's Back,Longqiu Bei.From there, one has a view of all the peaks in the Yandang Shan range. Xiangu hole( Taoism ) .at song dynasty .at the foot of the mountain there is a village called Naocun .the official’s daughter zhu changyuan .
