There is a hot debate on what kind of field of study should university students choose when considering the factors of interests and talents, or else the availability for future jobs. In my point of view, I support the idea that students should choose their own field of study based on their talents and interests other than availability for future jobs. In the first place, it is said that interests are the best teachers. And the motto has been tested for a long time. Especially for university students who would explore his own life on choice, this beginning would influence his future life. Therefore, choosing a major guided by their interests would bring benefit and convenience for them. Since interests and talents make them more motivated and Involved into the field. if they themselves have no interests in a certain field, then students tend to waste time for only one degree which contrary to the underlying of the university education by which we can cultivate more talents for society. A case here can surely illustrate this opinion: there are more and more students in china that choose their field of study betrayed their primary thought. And the influence is that they cannot grasp the fundermental knowledge of the uninterested field, as a result, they would be self-abased and have no ability to adapt to the society when graduate. From this point, we should no more persuade students to study in a practical field they have no interests in or even dislike for their easiness to make money or their popularity. Nevertheless, there are still some people who believe that college students should choose the field based on the availability of the jobs in that field. To some extent, I agree with it but it less persuasive. It is true that in today’s trend, practical jobs wou ld be overriding. Perhaps no one would like to do exploration without any benefits. In addition, students can absolutely choose these fields to find a more ideal job while they can also stick to their interests as the hobby. However, when people get this perfect job, they would probably get a better wage at the beginning ,but when considering the future developing, they would be obstructed somewhere. On the one hand, they cannot avoid their own desire, a person who betrayed his own aspiration for a whole would be suitable compared to a life-long betraying. On the other hand, the job they have no interests and talents on would betray him. For the reason that he could not behave excellent or warmhearted. Under this circumstance, it is obvious that choosing a field of study really concerned in future developing. What’s more, choosing the talented and interested field would someday benefit for you. In summary, due to the aforementioned reasons, which sometimes correlate with each other to generate an integrated whole, and thus become more convincing than any single of them, we may be comfortable to say that people who make a brilliant choice on based on their interests will be beneficial to themselves, and the latter people who insisted that choosing field of study based on availability of jobs would someday regret.
