Supplementary Agreement This supplementary agreement is made the 7th day of November 2008 between the Secretary of State for Transport (“The Secretary of State”) and the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (“MIB”) whose current registered office is Linford Wood House, 6 - 12 Capital Drive, Linford Wood, Milton Keynes MK14 6XT It is hereby agreed as follows:- 1. This Agreement is supplementary to the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (Compensation of Victims of Uninsured Drivers) Agreement made between the Secretary of State and the MIB dated 13th August 1999 ("the 1999 Agreement"). 2. This Agreement shall come into force on the 7th day of November 2008 and applies to accidents occurring after midnight on that date onwards and from that time onwards the 1999 Agreement shall continue to apply in all respects save as provided for by the amendments set out in paragraph 3 below. 3. The 1999 Agreement shall be amended in the following respects:- (a) The definition of “specified excess” in Clause 1 is omitted. (b) In Clause 16 (1) the word “paragraphs” is replaced by the word “paragraph”. (c) Clause 16 (2) is omitted. (d) Clause 16 (3) is omitted. (e) Clause 16 (4) is replaced with the following Clause: “16 (2) Where the property damage compensation in respect of any one accident exceeds ?1million MIB’s liability is limited to the sum of ?1 million.” (f) In Clause 17 the words “,in addition to any sum deductable under clause 16,” are omitted.
