泰州二中附属初中 教 案 泰州二中附属初中 严 萍 Colours and your moods 一、教学类型:阅读课 (Reading第一课时) 二、教材分析 1.教材内容(9A Unit2 Reading) 2.教材处理:该课是Reading的第一课时。本节课重点是使学生掌握阅读的技巧,不涉及相关语法。 2.教学目标 (1)让学生熟悉颜色和情绪的相关词汇; (2)通过阅读课文并各种活动,训练学生运用英语进行听说读写的能 力; (3)围绕颜色,开展多种教学活动,使学生加深对颜色的认识。 4.教学重点和难点 (1)熟练掌握颜色和情绪的相关词汇,并能运用这些词汇交流; (2)培养学生的阅读策略、提高学生的阅读技巧; (3)能让学生挑选出符合自己个性特征的色彩,并能就此话展开讨论。 三、教学设计 1.总体思路 本节阅读课共分三大(读前活动、阅读活动和知识拓展),三大步骤又细分为12个具体的教学活动,这些活动均围绕课文主题“颜色和人的心情”展开。各个具体教学活动环环紧扣,训练的侧重点各不相同,但对学生的阅读能力要求也随之逐步提升。在知识拓展的这一环节中,使用了学生较感兴趣的一些素材,以激发学生的学习兴趣。 2,教学过程 Step One. Pre-reading Activities Activity 1. Sing the colour song [设计] 用歌引出颜色,并充分调动学生的积极性。 Activity 2. Talk about the representation of different colours 1 Show some pictures of the colours (yellow, red, green, blue, white, orange) to the students, ask: 1.What do they make you think of? 2.What do they represent? [设计说明] 引导学生谈论颜色与人的情绪之间的联系,从而引出课文主题。 Step Two. While-reading activities Activity 3. Read the text by themselves and underline the new words at the same time. [设计说明] 让学生初步接触课文,浏览文章大意,学会根据上下文推断文章 大意,为课文学习做好铺垫。 Activity 4.Read after the tape recorder , learn the meanings of the new words and try to remember. (When the teacher points at a new word, the meaning of the word will be shown on the screen.) After two or three passages, they should answer some questions. Q1.Sandy worries a lot and often gets stressed. What colour should she use? (white) Q2.Daniel can help people calm down when they are angry. Do you know which is the best colour for him? (blue) Q3.Kate is always in the library and she often gets good marks in tests. What colour can represent her? (yellow) Q4.Tom has a strong personality and likes to be the leader. Discussion • What colour do you like best? • What does it represent? • What are your characteristics? • Does your favorite colour match your characteristics? [设计说明] 通过小组活动,促进学生交流,加深对课文的理解。 Step Three. Extension Activity 8.Show the photos of chameleons. Some animals can protect themselves or express their feelings by changing colours. For example, when a chameleon(变色龙)is ill, it will be white; when it meets its friends, it will be red; and when it wants to drive off its enemies(赶走敌人), it will be colorful. Activity 9.Ask students: 1.If we mix red paint with yellow paint, what colour will we see? (Orange) 2.If we mix red paint with blue paint, what colour will we see? (Purple) 3.If we mix blue paint with yellow paint, what colour will we see? (Green) Activity 10.An experiment— What colour can you see at last? The teacher prepares some gyros with many different colours, then give them out to the students. The students keep rotating them, and find out what colour they will see in the centre of the gyro?
