It is a syndrome with many different causes. Previous literature regarding multiple mononeuropathy mainly consists of clinical electrophysiological data, which is not enough for clinical diagnosis of this disease. Ying-shuang Zhang, Peking University Third Hospital, China retrospectively analyzed the detailed electrophysiological and histopathological data of 14 patients with multiple mononeuropathy. We found that 78.57% of nerve biopsy findings support clinical diagnosis of multiple mononeuropathy. Our findings suggest that nerve biopsy findings highly contribute to the diagnosis of multiple mononeuropathy, and complete and detailed medical data is of importance for diagnosis of this disease.
