The bright lights and the moon look as good as last year, But the lovers can’t be seen now at Lantern Festival, Tears making my sleeves wet, coming down my cheers. 《新英汉词典》词条 flower，那里没有半复合词 flower-market，但有 flowershow 花展，flowergirl 买花女，flowerpot 花 盆，flowerstalk 花柄，等复合词。词条 market 里也没有半复合词 flower-market，但有固定词组或成语 market supply and demand 市场供求, meat market（美）肉食店；market value 市面价格（区别与成本价格），等。因此原译文 the flower-market 现改成 the market of flowers ; 此外，为了押韵，也改变了点词序，这样还意外地让译文由六行变成了八行。但最大的修改 是把 The lovers 换成 We lovers（第四行），把 the lovers 换成 she（第五行）。原文“去年人”显然是作者的“意中人”或“心上 人”，即使还不是“情人”或“爱人”。 Lights were bright as day last year In the market of flowers, And the moon was mounting to the tops of willows above us, We lovers meeting to keep their tryst after dusk just here.
