高中英语香山公园(FragrantHillsPark)作文素材香山公园(FragrantHillsPark)TheFragrantHillsPark,about30kilometresnorthwestofBeijing,isoneofthemostfavouriteresortsinthecity‘soutskirts.Itcoversanareaof160hectares.In1186,intheJinDynasty,theFragrantHillsTemplewasbuiltandterraces,pavilionsandpagodaswereaddedbythesubsequentdynasties.TheareawaslaterconvertedintoaparkandwasnamedtheParkofTranquilityandPleasure.AlongwithYuanmingyuanandtheSurmmerPalace,theparkwastwicedestroyedin1860andin1900.Thedestructionwassoseriousthatthereconstructioneffortsmadeinthelateryearswereneverabletorestoreitsoriginalscaleandsplendour.After1949,large-scalerestorationtookplaceandnowtheFragrantHillsParkisapop-ularplaceinlateautumnforholiday-makerswhenthemapleleavesredden.Thebrilliantfoliageisthemainattraction.Nooneissurewherethesumactreesoriginated.Legendhasitthatasouthwindcarriedtheseedsofthered-leaftreestoBeijing.Thentheseedssurvived,andasyearspassedtheygrewintoalovelyforest.AnotherstorygoesthatthesumacsweretransplantedtotheareabyEmperorQianlong(l736-l795)oftheQingDynasty.InNovember,thefrostedleavesofthesetrees,alongwiththepersimmonsandmaples,spreadovertheFragrantHillslikeathickredblanket.Fortwocenturies,ithasbeenaresortfortheresidentsinBeijing.Majorplacesofinterestintheparkinclude:SpectaclesLakeBuiltinl745,theSpectaclesLakeactuallyconsistsoftwopondsseparatedandspannedbyastonebridge.Whenthewaterreflectsthesunlight,thetwinlakesresembleapairofspectacles,hencethename.Ontheshoreisasmallstonecavewithaspringaboveit.Thewaterdripsdownovertheentranceofthecave,formingawaterscreenthatfreezesintoiciclesinwinter.StudioofTranquilHeartItwasfirstbuiltinmid-16thcenturyundertheMingandwasreconstructedintheQingperiod.Intheenclosurethereisalargesemi-circularpoolintheshapeofaheart.Thestudiowasburneddownin1860andwasrenovatedafter1949.BrightTempleLyingtothesouthoftheStudioofTranquilHeart,theBrightTemplewasbuiltin1780asaresidencefortheSixthBainqenErdeniwhenhevisitedBeijing.Thecompoundhasa10-metre-highredterraceinTibetanstyle.ItwasdestroyedbytheAnglo-Frenchtroopsin1860.
