Dear sir or madam,
I am writing with great pleasure to recommend Ms. X, one of Y’s favorite interns, for admission into your distinguished graduate program.
Y is a subsidiary of Z, a German company and also one of World's Fortune 500 corporations. Each year we recruit at least 20 interns to work here. The recruiting standards, however, are fairly rigorous. Not only do we expect the candidates to have a GPA of at least 3.2 but we value the spirit of teamwork, creativity and tenacity. Ms. X has, during the interview process, exhibited her remarkable communication skills as well as cooperation and coordination abilities, which undoubtedly helped her become a qualified intern in our company.
The duration of Ms.X’s internship is from May 20 2012 to June 20 2012. Her tasks are divided into two parts: cashier and accountant. Being a cashier, she is in charge of daily disbursement after checking supporting document and collecting proper approval, ensuring cash and bank journals are booked in time, preparing bank statement reconciled in a timely manner, preparing cash/bank related reports. Being an accountant, she is responsible for maintaining records of invoices, keeping records of all transactions, preparing accounts payable, invoices and purchase orders, maintaining filing and invoice monitoring systems, and auditing petty cash envelopes.
Ms. X is a fast learner. No sooner had she started working in our company than she began to grasp the gist of code of conduct of the company and financial regulations, to which she even made sound recommendations. Ms. X is an agile doer, who, on the other hand, keeps a prudent mind. Facing unlearned accounting challenges, she would modestly ask the advice from her colleagues and she had the ability to quickly master relevant skills later on. Although she occasionally made minor errors, she would meticulously summarize the reasons and strive to prevent further recurrence. Ms. X is also an able assistant, who is always willing to help others. Bringing laughter and passion to her team, she is like glue connecting each member together.
I believe Ms. X is fully qualified to pursue her master’s degree. Please do not hesitate to inquire further if I can be of help to you.
Sincerely,
2
