What does the phrase "you're full of it" mean?
My friends were arguing about what it means. One thinks it means you are full of lies, the other thinks it means you are
pompous. What does it mean?

It mainly means that person is lying. In most cases, it means both lying and being pompous though.

It means your full of SH*T. Like you don't say anything true, you make crap up. It also means that you are are a peeler.
Or Joke around a lot.

If you add "SH" in the correct place in that phrase, you will have your answer.

It's a nicer and abbreviated way of saying full of SH** (crap).
So, however you classify someone full of crap... could be a liar, could be pompous, but I think it's more like full of ideas
that stink that no one else wants to be exposed to.

It means you are full of SH** What it really means is the person that told you that, thinks you don't know what you are
talking about.

This means that you are just making things up (lying) and that whatever you say about the subject is not trustworthy or
credible.
