Many years ago, I was eating (chicken, as I recall) at Kentucky Fried Chicken. I was watching a little child (maybe a couple years old), whose mother (it would seem) was waiting in line to order food. The child walked up to a curtain, pulled it back, and was delighted to find a blank wall, no windows. The child tried to call his/her mother”s attention to this situation. Leisure and recreation and the chance to play are not luxuries for children, but essentials for normal healthy development. But the system which applies in the countryside becomes cruel and inhuman when it comes to the cities. 1. How I Turned to Be Optimistic I began to grow up that winter night when my parents and I were returning from my aunt's house, and my mother said that we might soon be leaving for America.
