Materials
Theexperimentribbedtowelgourdswere
Xiatang1producedbyCollegeofHorticulture,South
ChinaAgriculturalUniversityandLvsheng1
producedbyGuangzhouVegetableScientific
ResearchInstitute.
Methods
TheexperimentwascarriedoutatGuangzhou
AgriculturalScientificResearchInstitute,Baiyun

district,Guangzhou.300seedsofeachvarietywere
dippedinwater(25?)for4hours,thenseparatedin6
groupsr50seedsofeachgroup).Twotreatments:(A)
threegroupsofseedswereblottedupbyfilterpape~
airedfor1hour,placedonpetridisheswithmoist
filterpaperandcoveredwithanothermoistfilterpaper一
(B)without1-hourairing,othergroupofseedswere
directlyplacedonthepetridishesandcoveredwith
moistfilterpaper.Weonlycalculatedseeds
germinationpercentageinthefirst3daysbecausethe
cotyledonswerealwaysetiolatedandputrescentafter
3days,whilethegerminatingenergywasinvestigated
inthefirst2days.

germinatingenergywereimproved.
Seedsgerminationfollowsfourphasesaccording
tophysiologicalprocesses:?.quickbreath(thefirst
10hours)?stagnatedbreath(1O-25hours)?the
2以breathfastigium(breakthroughtesta)?breath
fallingdown.Oxygensupplyisthemainlimited
andexpellingC02whenthetestawerecoveredby
watermembrane,andthereforeinfluencedthe
physiologicalreactioninseedgermination.The
functionoffilterpaperdriedtreatmentandanhour
airingafterseedpresoakingistoremovethewater
membrane,meettherequirementofphysiological
reactionduringthegermination,andimprovethe
germinationrateandgerminatingenergyofribbed
towelgourdfinally.

摘要:有棱丝瓜种子经过浸种(水温为常温,浸种4小时)后,通过用滤纸吸干种皮上的水分,并晾置
一定时间(一般为1个小时)的处理,再进行恒温(30~C)催芽,能够显着地提高种子的发芽率和发芽势.
