New manager Redknapp was pleased with the result, but he admitted luck is still an important factor in football. He said that his team "rode their luck" against Liverpool, meaning that they relied on luck to avoid failure. Indeed, it took an own goal from Liverpool’s Jamie Carragher and a late winner from Roman Pavlyuchenko to hand victory to Spurs 把胜利拱手相送给热刺. Redknapp will now be hoping to build on his good start at Spurs and move up the table. For Liverpool, this was their first defeat of the season and they are now second in the table behind Chelsea, who thrashed 重创 Sunderland 5-0.
