Both thy two regions of the earth, O Visnu, we know: thou God, knowest the highest also.1 Interpretation: “You grow beyond any measure by your expansion (body =tanū, from root tan, ‘to stretch’, ‘to expand’)! And your greatness none can [here] comprehend (or follow), na te mahitvam anu aśnuvanti! We can know two of your spaces [being from] the Earth!
