希伯克拉底氏誓言 余謹在醫神阿波羅、阿斯克勒庇俄斯、健康女神、海革亞醫療之神帕那凱耶以及諸天神之前立誓,願以全部能力和判力遵守此誓言, 對待業師像對待自己的父母一樣,與其一起生活,他若需錢,與他共享,視他的子嗣如我的兄,如果他們需要,我願完全義務教導他們醫術。對於本人的兒女、老師的兒女以及依醫師規律立誓與契約的徒弟,我將盡力傳授醫師的知識、箴言和信條,但不傳授給其他人。 我願意竭盡一己的能力和判斷來治療病患,並防止他們受到傷害與不公平的待遇。 我將不受任何人的請託而供應或建議使用毒藥,也不為人墮胎。我將保衛我的生命和技藝使之純潔而神聖。 不論訪視任何人家,我將為病人利益著想。不管他們是否奴隸,我將避免所有的蓄意不公、惡行、以及尤其是性關係的發生。 我絕不洩露經由治療或其他途徑所獲得的他人隱私,對傳出去將混淆視聽之事應藏在己心。 如果本人堅守誓言,願我在眾人中為我的生命和技藝獲得永遠的榮耀,但假如我背棄誓約,願 相反的報應臨在我身上。 Oath of Hippocrates I swear by Apollo the physician, and Aesculapius, and Hygeia, and Panacea and all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfill, according to my ability and judgment, this Oath and covenant: To hold him, who has taught me this art, as equal to my parents, and to live my life in partnership with him, and if he is in need of money to give him a share of mine, and to regard his offspring as equal to my brothers in male lineage, and to teach them this art if they desire to learn it without fee and covenant; to give a share of precepts and oral instruction and all the other learning to my sons and to the sons of him who has instructed me, and to pupils who have signed the covenant and who have taken an oath according to the medical law, but to no one else. I will apply dietetic measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice. I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. In purity and holiness, I will guard my life and my art. I will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will withdraw in favor of such men as are [skilled] in this work. Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice, of all mischief, and in particular of sexual relations with both male and female persons, be they free or slaves. What I may see or hear in the course of treatment or even outside of the treatment in regard to the life of men, which on no account [ought to be] spread abroad, I will keep to myself, holding such things shameful to be spoken about. If I fulfill this Oath and do not violate it, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and art, being honored with fame among all men for all time to come; if I transgress it and swear falsely, may the opposite of all this be my lot.
