A game: Guess occupation (Learn: occupation = job). 2. Pair-work: Say something about your daily life. While-task procedure: 1. Identifying a speaker’s occupation: Listen to the recording. You will hear six people talking about their daily lives. 2. Listen and write down the numbers 1 to 6 in the circles to show which person is talking. 3. Check the answers and then repeat the material after the recording. 4. A game: One describes one occupation, and the other students must guess what job does he/she do. Play the game in groups. 1 Post-task activity: 1. Do a listening quiz: (1) Listen to the sentences and choose the right picture for each sentence. (2) Listen to the sentences and choose the best response. (3) Listen to the dialogues and choose the best answers to the questions. (4) Listen to the passage or dialogue and tell whether the following statements are true or false. (5) Listen to the passage or dialogue and complete the table. 2. Check the answers.
